CES 2018 in a Nutshell

CES...Customer...Consumer... Exhibition...Experiment...Experience..........

CES, as new a term it might be for you, same goes for me to be honest! Apologies for not knowing one of the most awaited and astonishing electronics shows, conducted over the past decades.

CES an acronym for “Consumer Electronics Show”, owned and produced by Consumer Technology Association which attracts the best of innovations and breakthrough technologies all around the world. Every year hundreds and thousands of CES attendees gather at Las Vegas to demonstrate the best of future / next generation innovations possible globally. Everything is bewildering at the world’s biggest gadget show. 

2018 International CES began on 9th January and ended on the 12th January.

The event covered various tech innovations, conferences and business meetings.

  1. Vivo Phone shows - off first in-screen finger print scanner

As awesome as the above sounds, it’s quite a big deal for the Chinese company Vivo for have accomplished doing above which was supposedly rumoured to be launched by I-Phone and Samsung initially. Now your cell phone doesn’t consume the home button space and the hassle for finger print recognition at the back is written off.

  1. Razer Project Linda

Every year Razer comes up with one or more inventive technologies to showcase. And this year the company has brought up Project Linda which has its Laptop powered up by a cell phone, an android device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor. By integrating the two together the company wishes to blur the lines between a smart phone and a laptop.

  1. Dell XPS 15 2 in 1

As they define it, it’s “ a hybrid inside a hybrid”. The feature has never been seen before in a DELL XPS 15 line. The 15 inch screen has a 360 degree hinge which folds back to form a tablet. The laptop provides you with great graphics, is super slim and claims the battery sustenance of 15 hours.

  1. HTC’s upgraded Vive

HTC Vive is one of the most reliable brands for VR in market as of and with an upgrade it provides with better pixel density, integrated headphones and dual mics with an updated tracking system for more accuracy. They have also integrated a wireless adaptor which allows the users to stream content wirelessly.

  1. The Lenovo Mirage Solo

One of its kind head-set to use Google Worldsense. “ Worldsense ,a technology that understands your movement in space without the need to set up any external sensors.”

  1. Segway Loomo Bot

It’s partly a hover-board and partly a smart companion to have around. You can ride it around and once you hop off it , it can follow you around, do surveillance of the areas you want it to and take photos. And guess what, it works on android, so a shout out to all the app developers!

 

With many such innovations, CES brings in with the upcoming future gadgets to look forward to.  Am sure the above technologies have intrigued you to the fullest. Do spare time and visit through the rest of the technologies.
